Complex Needs Accommodation Service (South Ribble)
Excel Housing Solutions offers accommodation in shared environments at two locations for individuals experiencing homelessness who may also have additional needs related to substance use, mental health, or previous offending behaviour. The accommodation is informed by PIE principles, and all rooms have en suite facilities.
Residents benefit from access to 24/7 support. This ensures individuals always have immediate access to help, whether it relates to practical needs, emotional wellbeing, or crisis intervention.
At the heart of the service are strong community values: residents are encouraged to participate in communal living, develop peer relationships, and contribute to a welcoming, respectful environment. Group activities and creative workshops are organised regularly to foster social bonds and a sense of belonging, while maintaining individual privacy and dignity.
Collaboration with clients is central to the support model. Each resident is involved in co-producing their action plan, setting personal goals, and identifying the support pathways that best fit their circumstances. This collaborative approach empowers individuals, builds confidence, and ensures that the service remains flexible and responsive to evolving needs.
Partnership work with key agencies—including local health teams, mental health providers, probation services, and voluntary organisations—is integral to delivering holistic support. Regular multi-agency meetings are held to coordinate care, share information, and address complex needs, ensuring clients have seamless access to specialist services and are supported through every stage of their resettlement journey.
