Accommodation Based Mental Health Support Worker (12 hour role)

We are looking for a Part-time Accommodation-based Mental Health Support Worker to join our team and we are looking for motivated and dynamic forward-thinking applicants who will support our clients in line with our ethos.
The successful applicant will work in partnership and alongside NHS Mersey Care and relevant statutory agencies whose aim will be to support patients who have suffered from a mental health crisis. As the patients continues with their recovery journey, Excel Housing Solutions will offer a step-down service once they have left a medical facility and will work closely with the client to support their safety, focus on prevention actions and co-ordinate better care; all of which will be based on a person-centered approach.
An integral part of this role will also include working closely with the Rapid Rehousing Pathway team to move the client on to independent living. Knowledge in social housing is not a necessity, however it is desirable.
The ideal candidate will be organized, flexible and must be able to handle all situations that arise due to the nature of our clients. You do not need to have previous experience in this role, as full training will be given, although being able to communicate with clients in a focused, and solution-based way is important. We welcome applications for those with lived experience.
The successful candidate will be required to work 12 hours per week x1 shift, which could fall between 9am – 9.30pm. Your hours of work may involve working at any time during weekends, weekdays, and nights, this is to meet the needs of the clients.
All offers of employment will be subject to an enhanced DBS check, two suitable references and applicants must have the right to work in the UK. People with criminal convictions will still be considered subject to a satisfactory risk assessment. Due to the nature of this role would DBS checks need a stricter policy?
