Dispersed Accommodation Excel Housing Solutions offer a range of accommodation options across the north and south boroughs of Sefton. Accommodation comprises of HMO (Houses of Multiple Occupancy) self-contained flats and houses which have been refurbished to a high standard. These services are only available to people that present with support needs and are not let to the general public.
The focus of the service is on providing medium to high-level housing support via one-to-one visiting support, with the benefit of emergency on call support if required.
Excel Step Down Service
This dedicated supported accommodation service has been developed in partnership with Mersey Care to meet the needs of individuals leaving acute psychiatric units after a period of inpatient care.
Providing short-term, 24/7 staffed accommodation, the service is designed to facilitate a safe and structured transition back into the community. Clients benefit from the guidance and encouragement of an experienced team of support staff and a resettlement worker, helping residents navigate housing options and access appropriate community resources.
The environment is welcoming and inclusive, with a strong emphasis on fostering a sense of community through regular, engaging group activities and peer support. By promoting participation and empowerment, the service helps residents to build confidence, strengthen social connections, and prepare for sustainable independent living.
